We opened the doors of our headquarters and editorial offices to a group of blind, visually impaired, and hearing-impaired people, in collaboration with the associations NoisyVision and UICI Milano.
The initiative is part of the project “Beyond Sight: Listening to Include,” a journey our Group has started to promote a concrete and conscious culture of inclusion. During the visit, we shared our approach to journalism, explained how news is created, and offered a direct experience of our editorial and radio environments, with particular attention to sensory accessibility. We also discussed possible career opportunities in the media world for those with this type of sensory disability, an important topic especially for young people who showed great interest in our field. It was a meeting that showed us how inclusion is always the result of mutual exchange!
We believe that active listening and dialogue are fundamental tools for building a more inclusive society. Thanks to this meeting, our guests gave us a valuable opportunity to learn, reflect, and continue to improve.
