Third edition of Women at the Top: Women Excellence kicks off

Nominations are open until 13 October for the WE Award 2025 “Women at the Top”, a prestigious Italian and international recognition focused on women’s empowerment and the promotion of female talent - not just to honour excellence, but to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations. Established through a partnership between Il Sole 24 Ore, the Financial Times, and media partner Sky TG24, the award champions female leadership and plays an active role in driving meaningful cultural transformation.

Following the success of the first two editions, expectations are high for the 2025 WE Award - Women Excellence: a platform for women whose vision, determination, and talent are making a tangible difference in society. There are no restrictions in terms of age or field, and candidates may either apply independently or be nominated by others, expanding the award’s reach and inclusivity. The categories for the 2025 edition - Business and Management, Social Economy, ESG, Welfare and CSR, Education and Research, and Innovation - highlight the breadth and depth of fields where women are making vital contributions. The WE Award 2025 jury, chaired by Donatella Sciuto, Rector of the Milan Polytechnic, includes distinguished individuals from the business, cultural, and media sectors, ensuring a rigorous and high-caliber evaluation process.

The "Women at the Top" initiative features a Summit and a Gala Evening, culminating in the award ceremony - events designed to foster engaging dialogue on labour market trends, women’s roles in ongoing transformations, and the measures still needed to close the gender gap.
Winners of the WE Award will be celebrated during the Women at the Top event on 18 November 2025, at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan. This two-part event dedicated to women's empowerment will spotlight not only the honorees, but also rising talent, outstanding careers, and real-world examples of impactful female leadership.

The first two editions of the WE Award have already laid a foundation of excellence, recognizing women who distinguished themselves through their influence and capacity to inspire others.
For both the 2023 and 2024 editions, a large number of nominations were submitted, resulting in one recipient per category.
Buoyed by the momentum of previous editions, the 2025 edition of the "WE Award - Women Excellence" remains a reference point for recognizing and celebrating women, and is poised to showcase new success stories, further reinforcing the initiative’s role in advancing women’s leadership as a force for transformation: a platform that elevates the voices and journeys of women - trailblazers and visionaries - who are reshaping the meaning of success across all fields, acknowledging their vital contribution to building a more just, forward-thinking, and thriving society.
